St Patrick’s Day Craft – Shamrock Wands
The Irish celebration of St Patrick’s Day is on the 17th March, a big day to commemorate Irish culture and heritage.
Introduce your little ones to this special day with some arts and crafts like this shamrock craft from missgeyfs!
What you’ll need:
- Cardboard
- Green paint or a green paint stick
- Green wool
- Wooden skewer
- Glue gun
- Rainbow coloured felt
Step 1
Draw around a shamrock template onto a piece of cardboard.
Step 2
Cut out the cardboard shamrock.
Step 3
Use green paint to olive the shamrock. Alternatively you could use a green paint stick.
Step 4
Secure the wool at the back and then wrap around the cardboard several times. Then, secure the loose ends using a glue gun.
Step 5
Cut out some long strips of felt that are all the same length.
Step 6
Using a glue gun, attach the skewer to the back of the cardboard.
Step 7
Secure the felt strips to the back of the cardboard close to the skewer. Lastly, attach on the rainbow.
