What better way to celebrate Halloween than some craft making? There are lots of ways to incorporate Halloween crafts, whether it’s to add to a costume or to decorate your home or setting. Jen at Mama’s Den has come up with a spooktacular pinwheel craft to get your hands on this Halloween. Follow the steps below to create your very own Halloween Pinwheel!

What you’ll need:

• A4 card

Bamboo sticks

• Hole punch

• Scissors

Paper fasteners

Halloween decorations – foam shapes, wiggly eyes, pom poms

Step 1

Start by folding your card diagonally to create a square, then cut off the spare strip to create your square shape.

Step 2

Fold both corners of the square to create a triangle.

Step 3

Then take your hole puncher and punch a hole in the centre of the triangle.

Step 4

Unfold the card and cut along the creases until 2-3 cm from the centre.

Step 5

Punch one hole onto each corner of the ‘wing’.

Step 6

Put a paper fastener through one of the holes on the wing from the back to the front.

Step 7

Join all four holes of the wings together by folding each wing under each other towards the centre hole.

Step 8

Push the paper fastener through the central hole and open the fastener to secure.

Step 9

Secure a bamboo stick by using the paper fastener to cradle the stick.

Step 10

Lastly, decorate your pinwheel using items such as Halloween-inspired foam shapes, pom poms and wiggly eyes.
