Father’s Day Crafts: Gift Bags
We’re getting prepared this year with our Father’s Day crafts, providing you with the tools and instructions to make cards and gift ideas! We at Hope Education love craft-making, especially when the crafts can be used as gifts for occasions such as Father’s Day.
We have a wide range of art & craft resources for you to stay stocked up on, as well as plenty of resources specifically for Father’s Day, so you have everything you need to make it an extra special day.
Whether at home or nursery, early years children will be able to make this simple craft, adding their own unique twist and personalising it for their Dad and the things he likes.
This craft is a gift bag including all the things Dad will need to wash his car! Here’s what we did…
What you will need:
- Kraft Bags
- White Paper
- Classmates Colouring Pens
- Pastel Paint
- Letter Stampers
- Microfibre Cloth
- Sponge
- Scissors
- Glue Stick
Instructions:
- Take a Kraft Bag and a piece of white paper and cut the paper in a rectangle to fit on the bag.
- Once you’ve cut it, take some pastel paint and let the child dip their hands in, before adding a handprint to the white rectangle, making sure it’s sideways to replicate a car.
- Then use a lighter colour and dip one finger in, before adding this. See images below to understand how this should look.
- You can then take the letter stampers and write a message above where the handprint is, we wrote ‘Car Wash Kit’.
- Once the paint is dry, draw the wheels and steering wheel to make the handprint a car. Then add a face to the fingerprint.
- Finish by gluing your white rectangle of paper to the Kraft Bag, and add a cloth and sponge inside to make the perfect gift for Dad.
