Easter Crafting – Recycled Lid Decorations
Easter is an ideal time to get crafty with your children (and a great excuse to eat some yummy chocolate!). If you’re stuck on what crafts to do the wonderful 4plusmama has created a step-by-step guide for a recyclable bunny and chick craft that your little ones will love.
Follow the steps below and kickstart your Easter!
What you’ll need:
- Recycled lids
- Tissue paper
- PVA glue
- Wiggly eyes
- Pipe cleaners
- Twine
- Double-sided tape
- Scissors
Step 1
Cut or rip the tissue paper into pieces.

Step 2
Cover your recycled lid thoroughly in PVA glue.

Step 3
To make the chicks stick the pieces of tissue paper onto the lids.

Step 4
To make the bunny scrunch the tissue paper into little balls and then stick onto the lids.

Step 5
Fold a pipe cleaner into a triangle shape for the chicks beak and stick on using double sided tape.

Step 6
Use pipe cleaners to create bunny ears, a nose and whiskers, stick on using double sided tape.

Step 7
Using self adhesive googly eyes peel off the backing and stick on.

Step 8
Cut out some little circles from pink tissue paper and stick onto the chicks using PVA glue to create little cheeks.

Step 9
Cut a piece of twine and create a loop, stick on to the back of the chick lids so they can be hung up.

Your Easter chicks and bunnies are now complete!
