A fun and festive activity, this worksheet puts the creative minds of your class to the test as they are challenged with creating a unique Christmas story. To help them, we’ve devised a simple way to setup their story and give them some structure – all you need is a dice.

Part 1: Formulate the structure
Get everyone into pairs and hand them a worksheet. Ask them to roll a dice three times, with number corresponding to the setting, characters and scenario that will form the basis of their Christmas story.
Part 2: Flesh out the story
Now the bones of the story are in place, it’s time to start adding some meat. Ask the class to being describing key aspects to the story, like the main characters and the setting.
Part 3: Write your story
Once everything is in place, there is only one thing left to do – write! Give your class some time to go away and flex their storytelling skills, bringing everything together to form some engaging Christmas prose.
